New dorm policy illogical and inappropriate

Last fall, in a round of massive administrative overreaction to a security incident, we were grounded for a few weeks. Now, with little consultation of the Drew community, a new, over-the-top and inconsistently applied security policy is in our dorms. The Resident Assistants will especially enjoy this new policy, as they are forced to work longer hours with a decrease in pay. The Acorn feels that this unnecessary addition to the R.A. workload is downright insulting. Full story

On the Path

Amid budding interest in medical marijuana across our fair country, the eyes of the world turn to Drew University. Though former New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine signed the state’s medical marijuana law in January, eight months later our great Garden State is having trouble getting its new medical marijuana bill rolling. One question remains in my mind, begging for an answer: Why don’t we just grow it here?
