CLA misses opportunity for cultural exposure

The 70 Korean international students enrolled in the Theological School are intrinsic to Drew University, but their community can be seen as separate or foreign to College of Liberal Arts students. Lack of sidewalks hazard to pedestrian students

It's an accident-and potentially a serious one-waiting to happen. An unknowing Drewid on his or her way for some late-night mozzarella sticks at The Space strolls down the road from HERB circle to the UC, when a rapidly-moving SUV zips around the corner, narrowly avoiding disaster as the student dives out of the way.

During the weeks leading up to the election, traditionalists dropped their deceptive propaganda on the citizens of California from every direction.

By Stephen Petro

As I drove to the march against Proposition 8 in Montclair last Saturday, all I was really concerned with, at first, was following the directions to get there, not getting lost and not hitting other cars on the slippery highway. The march itself was not on my mind and I was more or less "going through the motions.

What Obama will inherit

"The result of eight years of a Bush presidency is that President-elect Barack Obama faces the most difficult beginning for an American President since Franklin D. Roosevelt replaced Herbert Hoover in March 1933."

By Stephen Yellin

In a New York Times editorial earlier this week, columnist Bob Herbert referred to our outgoing President as "George W. Hoover." Few would disagree with the notion that the Bush administration coming to a close is a good thing, both for our country and the world.
