Drew Public Safety officer likes to spend spare time on a different beat

Imagine sitting at the top of your basement stairs for hours watching your father's rock band practice. For Corporal Jesse Traynor, this was the beginning of his life's passion. With a father in a rock band, Traynor was exposed to music all of his life. Traynor, a public safety officer on campus, patrols the college campus by night.

New Drew TV show for and by students

Although the name may be quirky, Drew University's new student-run television program, "Squirrelvision," which can be seen on Drew TV, serves a functionally important purpose. The interactive program, which is hosted by Biology major and Environmental Studies minor Christopher Damurjian (CLA '09), was created to better inform Drew University's campus on upcoming events and thus better serve the Drew community.

Chamber Music Society launches '08-'09 season

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center kicked off its third season at Drew University on Monday at 8 p.m. A limited number of student tickets were available beginning Monday at 10 a.m. through the Shakespeare Theatre Box Office. This program celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Kavafian sisters' duo debut.

IVCF benefit concert aids African school

The Intervarsity Christian Fellowship held a benefit concert in Craig Chapel to raise funds for a school in Uganda last Saturday. Many IVCF members saw the school for themselves during a summer trip to the central African nation. They sang and did building projects.
