Opinions needs work

To the Editor,
Please get better opinions writers. I had to read about a first year student saying Junior/Senior was a joke and that upperclassmen were foolish and generally irresponsible and out of control. I also had to read about why cute panties are not what guys are really thinking about and a fantasy piece that had nearly nothing to do with Drew.
Was this opinions section a joke? I hope so because with everything that is going on at Drew with retention rates, increasing harassment and discrimination on campus, and also the hopes that Drew is moving into a new age of involvement and activism...this is the content of the opinions section?
We deserve to read about what is actually happening at Drew, and we deserve to read articles that are written intelligently.
I know I'm being harsh because you just had the switch from the old staff two issues ago, unfortunately it shows. I love The Acorn, truly, but get it together and print something that matters.
