Lately this column has been mostly about women's wear, which limits its audience. I feel as if there is not enough edgy stuff out there for us guys. How many times can fashion columnists write about suits and ties?

With women's wear, there is so much variety and crazy high-fashion styles, while for men it's either pin-striped or not.

It's hard to find magazines or fashion columns that focus more on the edgy side of men's wear. As much as I enjoy reading GQ and Men's Vogue, they just don't do it.

This column will not be a roast on certain men's wear pieces that need to be destroyed like cargo shorts, but it will serve as a tutorial on how to be a hip and edgy male this spring and summer season.

One thing that has been really popular on the runway and in many high-end designer stores is cropped everything-cropped sleeves, cropped shorts and cropped pants. Don't have anything cropped? Don't worry, I don't either. You can simply achieve this effect by rolling your sleeves and pants to a higher length.

This gives you an opportunity to not only save money and be fashionable, but it also gives you more control as to how short you want your pieces to be.

I have also been seeing very highly cropped suits where the end of the leg ends at the knee and the length of the arm ends at the elbows, giving the effect that you are so buff that you just can't fit into your clothes. Even though I like the look, I am still a little unsure about the overall idea. We all know the men on Wall Street are not going to be wearing these edgy suits, but it at least gives us the overall idea of what's going to be in this summer-crop, not crocs.

Another hot thing for men right now is graphic T-shirts-the louder the better. Shirts with abstract futuristic designs and large colorful images or phrases are very in right now. If you plan on wearing a "liberal" or eccentric piece, make it an over-the-top graphic tee.

Don't like graphic images? The classic striped T-shirt is constantly being reinvented in many new ways. Is a print still too much for you? Go basic with a deep V-neck T-shirt because they're stylish and excellent for the summer heat.

While visiting the mall the other day, I noticed that one of my favorite color combinations is taking fashion by storm, which only verified my belief that I was born to be a trendsetter.
