Drew University's men's lacrosse team made their Landmark Conference debut with a bang, blowing out Moravian College 24-8. The Rangers out-shot Moravian every period.

The Drew University men's lacrosse team ended their slump with a 12-6 win against Babson College on the 20th at Ranger stadium earning their first win of the season. Going into half-time the Rangers had an 8-2 lead that held onto through the rest of game thanks to big scorers attacker Jon Bucknam ('10) and attacker Rob Budziszewski ('08) with 4 each and Sean McNulty ('09) with two more.

Just four minutes into the game the Rangers were able to capitalize on an early Babson penalty and Bucknam found McNulty at the front left to start off their lead with an extra man offense goal.

About a minute later, Bucknam dominated Steve Carnes ('10) set up to bring the score to 2-0. McNulty added another goal, but by 5:15 left in the period the Beavers got into the game with a goal of their own. The Beavers weren't able to enjoy it too long once Bucknam came back with a shot from the left to right across goal and making the lead 4-1.

Midfielder Jon Dowiak ('09) had an impressive first half taking 10 of 12 face-off circle restarts. Bucknam and Budziszewski grabbed a goal each, but midfielder Matt Enright ('09) of Babson took a goal with under 4 left in the half.

The Rangers made sure to secure the first half with a minute left and 2 more goals from Carnes and Budziszewski.

With 46 seconds left, Carnes grabbed a loose ball from 10 meters out and fired it into the net. McNulty set up the ball from behind the net for Budziszewski to tuck away in the bottom corner outside the crease making the score 8-2 going into halftime.

Three minutes into the second half, Dowiak made an individual effort to gain another goal and Budziszewski attained his hat trick four minutes later. Midfielder Bryan Wilbur of Babson ('09) gave the Beavers another goal but by the beginning of the final period McNulty found Carnes perfectly positioned in the middle for a clean shot. The Rangers were given a scare when the Beavers earned a pair shortly after, but Budziszewski got his fourth goal of the game thanks to an assist from Henry Paulin ('11). The Beavers were able to get one more but inevitably the Rangers deservedly took the win 12-6.
