Tolley/Brown R.D. Andre Moore plans to make improving fitness classes at Drew University one of his priorities as the new Club Sports and Recreation Director.

As Drew University's former club sports and recreation director Tremaine Young finds a new home in South Carolina, the resident director of Tolley/Brown attempts to fill a pair of legendary shoes.

While Young brought youth, energy and an unparalleled passion for sports to Drew intramurals, an even younger director will take his place.

At just 26 years old, Tolley/Brown R.D. Andre Moore shares many of Young's characteristics.

In fact, the former director personally recommended Moore to take his old position.

Moore's commitment to attain goals and strong relationship with the student body make him a shoe-in for the job.

"I'm really honored to have the opportunity to build upon the foundation that Tremaine created," Moore said. "I can't even begin to say enough about the great job that he did here, and all I want to do now is to continue the forward progress."

As the resident director of Tolley/Brown, Moore has developed close ties with students in his dorm.

"He knows everyone around," Zain Hasan Khan ('11) said. "He'll definitely make a good director because he seems to be able to do anything that he puts his mind to."

Although Moore has developed a close relationship with the students in his hall, he now looks to help students across the entire campus.

"I'm really excited about working with everyone," he said. "I feel that close interaction between the students, faculty and staff can really help."

Moore's people-friendly persona, accompanied with his veteran guidance and leadership well beyond his years make him a wise replacement for Young.

"He's great with people and awesome at resolving problems," Allie Paradysz ('11) said. "He keeps everything under control and handles all responsibilities in an organized fashion."

With the amount of time needed to juggle the numerous responsibilities as a director, staying focused, organized and determined are essential components to remaining successful.

"It is a very large time commitment that involves a lot of work," Moore said. "But it's manageable, and it's something that I really love to do. It's definitely worth the time and effort."
