For most American students, Veterans Day is a day to relax and hang out with friends. With the United States currently embroiled in two wars, however, some members of the Drew University community took time out of their day to recognize and commemorate those who fought for our nation, both past and present.

Student Government Association President Dana Etkowicz ('09) promised Drew University many things when she stepped into office last year-including being open and having frequent communication with the Drew community. Currently, most students are receiving regular e-mails from their dorm, university and class senators and, every once in a while, Etkowicz will send one out as well.

Second annual swim-a-thon tomorrow

Famous for showcasing his unique wrestling-like antics prior to competitions, 10-time Olympic medalist swimmer Gary Hall Jr. knows what it takes to draw a crowd. After raising $300 toward diabetes research last year, the Drew University men's and women's swim teams already accumulated over 15 times that amount in 2008.

As the Class of 2009 wraps up its last fall in the Forest, most seniors have the cushion of one more semester at Drew University before they find themselves in the real world. Not all of them will be returning to enjoy a last Drew spring, though. For a number of seniors, the end of this semester will be the beginning of their life as a college graduate.

OADN hosts AOTA, MadAve and groups from other universities at Jamnation

The a cappella concert 'Jamnation' would probably be best described as a story-an abrupt beginning and a climax of ridiculous theatrics. Finally, an eventful ending tied it all up in a bow and called it a night. On A Different Note, the show's hosts, kicked off the show with their rendition of "You Know I'm No Good" by Aimee Winehouse.

Despite loss, swimming retains drive

Despite loss, swimming retains drive

The men's swim team started its season on Saturday, though it still is looking for its first win. Swimming at Ramapo in its season opener, the team put forth an impressive effort. Jereon Fabricant ('12) won two events in his first meet as a Ranger. Fabricant won the 1000 meter freestyle in remarkable fashion as he not only shaved 40 seconds off his previous best, but also finished almost two minutes ahead of his competition.
